Looks like the copper trend is going to hang with us for a bit, and I couldn't be happier as I went copper-crazy when we bought the house in December last year, and decided the kitchen was going to be hella-girly.

Copper and/or rose gold was a new trend, and mainly shown against white, but I found inspiration after happening upon this beauty of an image from Dulux, to showcase their Copper Blush shade. I ordered a paint sample, which was a lot cooler when I tested it out - and went on to order samples of every shade of light pink Farrow and Ball makes.

After trying Cinder Rose, Pink Ground (the list goes on...) I finally settled with Setting Plaster - which you would think I would've started with having described the colour to everyone as 'plaster pink'.

My wall-lights are from, the vase is Tom Dixon and the shelf is Amara.

Trend-wise, I think that copper will become a long-term fixture in homewares, but mixed in with other metallics to modernise it. See my new trend board here.
